Spy Games I (2003)
So, you thought it was over, hey? Guess again. The event more or less disintegrated after a couple of pleasant hours. But the night was still young! UEC, UEM, Kowalski, and Wanderlust debated how to best spend the rest of the evening. After a long discussion, the seven of us decided to go to Union Station. The offices might be hard to get into (it was, after all, a Saturday night), yet there were other exploratory delights. A hop on a street-car later, we found ourselves in the place itself, but unlike the day before Tux and I had nowhere to rush to. Plus it was almost deserted… A tasty opportunity. However, a group of seven people is rather too obvious for stealth purposes. We thus left Asher and WiZDoM in the food court while the rest of us, led by flame0ut, would check out the potential entrances to the "fun section" of Union Station. We toured the parking lot where, unfortunately, we were quickly noticed by a security guard who was not impressed by Kowalski's dangling car keys. Luckily for us, flame0ut never missed a beat and, right after the guard came up to us with the dreaded "Can I help you?" on his lips, flame0ut immediately asked him where the Hertz Rent-A-Car parking lot was. The disappointed guard pointed in a vague direction and we left hurriedly. Having been defeated in those lower levels, we headed out, then right back in through an empty passage, which took us to a couple of storage areas. Eventually we rejoined Asher and WiZDoM and the group decided to relax for a spell. But not I! I wandered around, not really searching for anything in particular, when my keen eyes noticed a bunch of garbage bags. They wouldn't pile garbage around if there wasn't an access to some employees-only, garbage-disposing area… Ah-ah! An open door! I summoned the others and we bravely ventured forth into a large, dusty, mildly interesting storage room that led to a couple of display rooms and to a strange, pie wedge-shaped space used to change the advertisements on the loading dock. Check out everything we saw in Union Station in this gallery (#15 to #35). |
